Jide Pomary

About

I’m Jide Pomary — a Product Manager, strategist, and business leader with over a decade of experience building and scaling digital products across fintech, SaaS, and enterprise technology. My work is driven by a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and turning ideas into impactful solutions that meet both business and user needs.

Born in Ogun State and raised across Nigeria, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for diverse markets and user behaviors. This perspective has shaped my approach to product development — blending strategic thinking with real-world application.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from Bowen University and an MBA from the University of Lagos. My career began in sales at DAG Motorcycle Industries (Bajaj), where I discovered a deeper passion for building products rather than just selling them.

Today, I serve as Senior Products and Partnerships Manager at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, leading a team of product and software engineers. Together, we develop fintech solutions, drive strategic partnerships, and scale digital products. Notable achievements include:

  • Launching and expanding products like Payzone, Payzone Link & Store, Paywithbank3D, Wbiz (ERP), and BMAC (ERP).
  • Spearheading Union Bank’s Mastercard-Acquiring Business.
  • Leading API-driven ERP payment integrations.
  • Securing partnerships with top financial institutions and tech providers.

Beyond fintech, I’ve worked across startups, consulting, and enterprise software – including a consulting role in the hospitality sector, where I served as a Marketing Manager and sharpened my skills in business strategy, customer insights, and achieving product-market fit.

Expertise & interests

I’m an AIPMM Certified Product Manager, a Mastercard Certified Professional in Digital Payments, and hold certifications in Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Product Management.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about football (Team Manchester United), table tennis, boxing (Tyson Fury, Usyk, Joshua), fashion, and music. I’m also learning to play the guitar and recently completed my first book, Sins of Our Fathers — the first of many to come.

I thrive on building products that solve real problems, leading teams toward a shared vision, and forging partnerships that create lasting impact. If you’re looking to connect product strategy and business growth — let’s talk.
